Wandering Gypsy

So this was a speedsketch, that I fleshed out into a (somewhat) full rendering character sketch, then fleshed out a background.

Then someone told me to change the composition with the crop tool.

I think I like it better this way.

Also I had to lighten the picture up cuz someone thought it was night time, and it was most definitely not.

    Nice work, man.

    One thing to consider is that communicating a sense of daylight is more about the contrast between the light and shade than the actual brightness.

    Really dark shadows, for one thing, and very sharp, stark gradations. Think of a cowboy movie.

    Have you taken any painting classes yet? I have a feeling a color and light class could help your work in general.

    Anyways, +1 confidence boost, keep it up :D
